Anthonij Rupert acquired L’Ormarins farm in Franschhoek in 1968 where he began to produce his own wines. The farm’s manor house and cellar are both declared national monuments and today the farm boasts both modern and historic elements in the wine making process. The original cellar still houses family crest carved vats, while a new state-of-the-art cellar with a revolving ceiling and underground barrels adds to a modern twist.
