Aviation was originally produced in Portland, Oregon by Christian Krogstad and Ryan Magarian (world-renowned mixologist) in 2006. Ryan Reynolds, a fan of the spirit acquired shares in the company before it was sold to Diago – a multinational alcoholic beverage company (think Tanqueray, Smirnoff and Johnnie Walker). In 2012 it was awarded the highest rating Wine Enthusiast magazine has ever awarded a gin – 97 points!
