Beyerskloof was established in 1988 when Beyers Truter planted Pinotage, Cabernet Savignon and Merlot vines on the (then) small farm in Stellenbosch near the Simonsberg Mountain. Today the farm spans over a 150 hectares. Pinotage is South Africa’s heritage varietal and Beyerskloof have been awarded many Absa Top 10 Pinotage awards over the years for theirs. Son of Beyers and Winemaker Anri Truter continues the legacy of his farther today.
