Blaauwklippen farm was established in 1682 when Simon van der Stel allocated land to Gerrit Jansz Visscher (first owner). Although only named Blaauwklippen in 1700 by Willem Nel (second owner). It’s one of the oldest wine farms in Stellenbosch, South Africa – that’s 341 years old in 2023! A truly unique and historical farm to visit. Narina Cloete has been the winemaker on the farm since 2016. She strives to create wines that express the terroir of the Blaauwklippen vines. Today the farm also produces gin and brandy.
