Courvoisier (originally another named brand dating back to 1796) was officially founded in 1828 by Félix Courvoisier. He opened a new distillery in the heart of the French Cognac region in Jarnac. Courvoisier was the chosen cognac for the official toast and grand opening of the Eiffel Tower in Paris in 1889. Since 2019 they’ve been the most awarded cognac house.
