Diplome Gin
Diplome Gin has a unique story. In 1945 a distillery in Dijon, France was granted an exclusive contract to supply gin to the U.S Army stationed in France post World War II. Individual glass bottles were not available so it was supplied in 20L jerry cans. The gin supply contract ended once the US left France and so the recipe was stored in an archive. Edouard Betegnie heard this story and in 2010 sought out to find the distillery and since they have been producing the same gin from the original recipe, equipment and method.
