Glengoyne was established in 1833 near Dumgoyne, north of Glasgow in the Scottish Highlands. They have an unhurried approach to single malt whisky production and use air-dried barley and slow distillation. Although they are located in the Highlands their whisky is matured in the Scottish Lowlands which affects the classification, not the style. Their whiskies exhibit characters of both regions with a lightness (Lowlands) and richness (Highlands) to it.
