House of Krone produce vintage-only Methode Cap Classique (MCC). It was started by the Rands family who bought the farm in 2012. The grapes are harvested at night to preserve the quality and delicate aromas and flavours. Due to their specific location in the Tulbagh valley with cool breezes and decent rain fall they are able to harvest their grapes two weeks earlier than the rest of the Western Cape wine farms. This allows them to use malolactic conversion a rare fermentation process that captures richness and flavour without losing natural acidity. This makes Krone sought after.
