Leffe’s history dates back to the Abbey of Leffe in Dinant, Belgium where it’s said to have been brewing since the 13th century. However, modern Leffe beers dates to the 20th century. Leffe is associated with the Trappist brewing tradition even though it’s not brewed within the walls of a Trappist monastery. They are inspired by the brewing heritage of the original Leffe Abbey. There’s a variety of styles including Blonde; Brune; Radieuse; Tripel and Royale each with their own characters, but sharing a refined flavour profile.
