Luddite Wines
Luddite is a boutique winery located in Bot River, Western Cape. It was founded in 1999 by Niels and Penny Verburg who were inspired by their lover for wine and their desire to create artisanal, handcrafted wines of exceptional quality. They are best known for their red wines, particularly its flagship Luddite Shiraz. They also produce Cabernet Sauvignon and Mourvedre and a small amount of white wine from Viognier grapes. The winery has a limited production so their wines are highly sought after by wine enthusiasts who appreciate small-batch, artisanal wine with character and personality.
