Oraga is the confluence of two Spanish words which mean Golden Water. Although truly African, its name pays homage to the traditions behind the authentic Agave history. Oro meaning gold and Agua meaning water.
Oraga Agave is produced in Africa from the heart of 100% authentic Americana plants. Its first bath of Oraga is harvested from the rich soils of the Eastern Cape. This plant is not only found in the Eastern Cape, but in the open plains of the Karoo, the rolling hills of KwaZulu Natal and as far south as the tip of the Cape Peninsula. The terroir of each region defines the characteristics of the Agave which becomes the distinct flavours of each small batch of its unique Oraga African Agave Spirit.
