Luddite Shiraz 2021 750ml

Production is back up to 9,600 bottles as the vines gradually recover from the drought. This wine includes small portions of Cabernet Sauvignon and Mourvèdre, with 10% of stalks added back before a 24-month maturation in barrels, 15% of which are new. This vintage has an alcohol content of 13.62%, which is relatively low for this wine.  On the nose, you’ll find a touch of smoky reduction followed by red and black berries, rose, fynbos, fennel, and pepper. The palate is well-structured with pure fruit, tart acidity, and crunchy tannins. This could be a great introduction for newcomers to Luddite wines.
