Saxenburg Guinea Fowl Chenin Blanc 750ml

Sourced from two separate vineyards planted on a southwest-facing slope at Saxenburg, both of which are situated on the characteristic coarse granitic soil typical of the Polkadraai Hills.

The grapes were destemmed and underwent skin contact for approximately 2 hours before a gentle pressing. Post-pressing, the components were left on the gross sediment for 24 hours to enhance mouthfeel and texture. After racking, the different components were transferred to a mix of stainless-steel tanks and older oak barrels. Overall, 10% of the wine was fermented in older, neutral oak barrels.
