Graham beck Cuvée Clive 2018 750ml
R1,149.99
A Tim Atkin awarded MCC of 97 points for 2024, this extraordinary bubbly is a testament of elegance, finesse and complexity. The Cuvée Clive is all this and more. This Chardonnay and Pinot Noir blend is produced in extremely limited quantities and only in exceptional vintages. The pinnacle of Graham Becks Cap Classique craft.
Vineyard and Soils: Chardonnay grapes were sourced from Robertson and Napier. Robertson’s limestone-rich soils offer minerality and freshness, while Napier’s decomposed granite adds allure.
Harvest and Cellar Treatment: Hand-harvested grapes were gently pressed, with 70% of the Chardonnay fermented in oak barrels and 30% in stainless steel. Pinot Noir was fermented entirely in stainless steel. The wine matured on the lees for 5 years before disgorgement.
Tasting Notes: Delicate floral notes, citrus, peach, toasted almonds, ginger, and shortbread. Zesty citrus, pears, and green apple on the palate, with subtle oak accents. Vibrant acidity, creamy mousse, and a chalky yet succulent finish.
