Tinta Barocca is a red grape variety originating in northern Portugal where it’s a common blending grape in port wine, but in South Africa produced as single varietal wines for good reason. It’s an aromatic, medium-bodied wine boasting flavours of mulberries; raspberry jam and plum with hints of cocoa and spices that pairs well with rump steak; slow-roasted port shoulder and anything Portuguese.
