Red Wine
Red wine is made from dark-coloured grape varieties where the fermentation of the grape juice takes place with the grape skins which imparts the dark red; purple or black colour, tannins and various flavours of wine. Different red grape varieties result in various flavours and characteristics to each style some being light and fruity to full-bodied and tannic. Red wines can be aged in oak barrels or stainless steel tanks and most are designed to develop complexity and mature with age.
