Sangiovese

Sangiovese is a lesser-known grape variety indigenous to Italy, yet grown in other warmer climates due to its environmental adaptability. A savoury type, earthy yet fruit-forward wine with flavours of strawberry; fig; clay and tobacco complimented by aromas of potpourri; dried roses and thyme. A medium-bodied wine with complex aromas and pairs well with anything Italian - pizza; pasta and risotto.
