Other Red Blends

Red Blends are made when individual grape varieties are first fermented then later blended to create something special. Winemakers tend to blend their choice of red wines in playful proportions, highlighting the best qualities of each wine to complement the other. They can be anything from light to full-bodied, with an array of flavours depending on the grapes used, and can be paired easy with many dishes. A rule of thumb to pairing: full-bodied, heavier red blends go well with roasted or stewed meat dishes and milder red blends go well with lighter meats, pastas and cheeses.
