The Monks of the abbey are the origin of this ale. They are called “Trappists” after the origin of their order: the French Soligny-La-Trappe. This order is characterized by austerity, silence and the duty of charity. La Trappe Trappist is pure, honest, Dutch ale.

Classic dark-brown Trappist ale with an ivory-coloured head. Full malty and caramel-sweet like taste with subtle, sweet influence of dates, honey and dried fruits.
