Oak Valley Beneath the Clouds Chardonnay 750ml

The South-Easter, is known locally in Elgin as the Cape Doctor. It blows cold sea air over the vineyards and blankets the valley under the cloud. The clouds lower the daytime temperature and slows the ripening of the Chardonnay grapes resulting in better flavour development.

Ripe yellow peach aromas are at the forefront of the nose with hints of white pear and granadilla. A textured and dense palate is from the lees contact in the barrel, yet a very fresh and good acidity showing its cool climate origin. Expect tangerine and green melon flavours with an attractive tart finish.
