Boekenhoutskloof Syrah 2021 750ml

The grapes used in crafting our Boekenhoutskloof Syrah are carefully selected from prime parcels of Syrah vines cultivated on our Swartland farms, predominantly from Porseleinberg (90%) with a smaller portion from Goldmine (10%), located near the charming town of Riebeek-Kasteel. The Porseleinberg vineyards thrive on a rugged terrain of decomposed Mica-Schist, defining a unique terroir within the appellation. Meanwhile, the Goldmine vineyards, situated on the southwest slopes of the Kasteelberg, feature Brown Schist with traces of Table Mountain sandstone, weathered and washed down from the nearby mountain. The harmonious blend of these two distinct properties results in a Syrah that epitomizes both concentration and structure, showcasing the essence of this Rhône grape variety.
