Black Oystercatcher
Black Oystercatcher Boutique Wines is owned by winemaker and viticulturist Dirk Human. The farm is located in the Overberg region near towns Elim and Cape Agulhas and is the southernmost wine-producing region in South Africa. Dirk is one of the pioneers in establishing vineyards in such a coastal area where crops are influenced by salty sea air and cool breezes. The wine is named after the rare Black Oystercatcher bird which thrives in the region.
